Bluffton Elementary School engages students in a STEM-focused learning environment that promotes lifelong learning. Beginning in Pre-Kindergarten, students receive the knowledge and skills needed to build a strong academic foundation.
BLES is the ONLY elementary school in Beaufort County that offers the Accelerated Academy program. This program allows students to learn at a pace that matches their ability, giving them the opportunity to complete three years of instruction in just two years.
In addition to a strong academic program, Bluffton Elementary is dedicated to the individual development of all students. By focusing on the intellectual, emotional, and creative growth of each student, BLES encourages students to become leaders of the next generation.
Recognized as a school that promotes social inclusion, BLES hosts a Young Athletes’ Day for students with special needs.
BLES students complete quarterly community service projects & participate in the annual Rotary Club’s Happy Feet event to support local families.
Each year, hundreds of students are recognized for their Random Acts of Kindness with a certificate and a positive phone call home.
The one class in each grade level that passes the most i-Ready lessons each week win bragging rights and an awesome medal that the teachers can wear all week.
BLES was awarded an all-inclusive garden kit from Clemson Extension School & Community Gardening.
